An encounter between Cirque Éloize and Daniele Finzi Pasca in 2001 laid the foundation for the La trilogía del cielo (The Trilogy of the Sky) project, in which the world of acrobatics and circus-like poetry of the former fuses with the world of dreams, nostalgia, and the profoundly human characters of the latter.
“One doesn’t get lost in the fog, but rather we experience strange concurrences that are neither mirages nor hallucinations. In the fog, reality transforms into dream, or presents itself as if it were a dream. Everything becomes possible. From my grandmother´s balcony I believe to have caught glimpses of camels, deserts and mermaids, my uncle returning from the war, and then, a circus. Once, I even saw myself floating…It was almost always a carnival…We are made of the same substance as dreams. In fog, reality changes shape and low clouds lift us up. If in Nomade we looked upwards to discover that at night the sky is bigger, and if in Rain a deluge of liberty fell upon us, in Nebbia the sky will descend like a cloak to cover our shoulders and protect our dreams.
